I just hooked up an external drive. It used to be a desktop drive but I put it inside an enclosure. There are some files that I'd like to delete from it but on my mac, it states that I have insufficient priveledges. Why can't I delete files? It's using Windows NT File System. Under permissions it states that I can only read. How do I change that?

Might be wrong, but Macs can read-only on NTFS formatted partitions. So maybe thats why?
Aw crap. Which means I'm gonna have to backup.
How would I go about formating the drive to osx compatible?
well if you have your mac osx install disk you can boot up with that and the external drive connected and tell it to formatt to an osx compatable type using the included disk utility.
