Success stories of Boot Camp?

I'm just searching for some people who have had success installing Windows XP via Boot Camp on their Mactels. (Intel iMac preferably)

Here's somethings that I would like to know to get the smoke clear.

1. Partitions. What would I have to do in the XP setup to not mess up the OS X partition.

2. Ejecting Discs. Once installed, will Windows eject CDs by simply; My Computer > Right Click on CD > Eject?

3. Viewing Mac files. Will the drivers in Boot Camp let Windows view the OS X partition? Or will I have to get MacDrive to do that?

Also, can anyone who has Windows installed on their iMac tell me the performance of Windows and if it's compatible with every piece of hardware on the iMac? Thanks.

Well, first time I ran it was a success story, but last time it un-mounted the OS X partition so it wouldn't boot, deleted the Windows partition, and then it won't partition anymore.

eject button doesn't work on keyboard so you can click on cd and remove

osx partition is non accessible via windows, but windows partition is accessible via osx but not rewritable so you must use fat32 hard disk or usb pen drives.

With Windows XP my mac mini is more faster than osx....

What are you using it for? If you aren't gaming then I recommend parallels. It is what I use and it is very snappy.

To share files between both systems you can create a third partition and format it in FAT32 so it can be accessed from both OSs

Thanks. Well, new Windows installs are always fast...but eventually it happens to slow down.

What are you using it for? If you aren't gaming then I recommend parallels. It is what I use and it is very snappy.

I will be using it for GTA: San Andreas that's about it. And doing some testing on Windows or porting themes, etc. But I'll give Parallels a shot.

Thanks but I would like to keep my partitions equal. For instance, I have a 500GB HD on my iMac, I would like each partition to be 250GB (maybe)
