Include Widgets

Hey, there!

Just wanted to say the bundle is great!

I don't know for sure what's in it (WinRoll, Y'z Shadow, the Icon package, ObjectDock etc), but I have a suggestion...

Since Yahoo! Widgets Engine (ex-Konfabulator) is free, you could also include that in the package (not the most important at all, but) AND fix that icon for the Dashboard on 'Tiger System Preferences' - which is null and asks if you want to edit the INI file.

I edited my *.ini to 'fix' it.

Also, the 'Dock' (in 'Tiger System Preferences' too) could point out to ObjectDock configuration, though pointing to the taskbar configs is ok.

But I have a question... I know some MacLovers may not like this, but anyway.

How would I edit a theme?

I mean, I like the graphite scheme, just think it could have the top buttons in colores (minimize/maximize/close).

I guess it doesn't in the real OSX (I don't have the money to afford a real Mac lol), but anyway... Just wanted to customize a little my desktop.

Also, I wanted to put the 'control buttons' on the left (just like the real OSX), and add some texture to dialog windows and pop-up menus...

So what tools should I look for to do such?

I mean, to edit this own theme, not creating my own...

Thanks for you attention, and for the great mod!

Best wishes,

Guilherme H.

Well, I dunno... which bundle is great? Maybe you're talking about Flyakite.

About the Yahoo Widget Engine, it can't be included in Flyakite since it is from another company and I dont think Yahoo could grant a permission to port the installer inside another one.

Your suggestions to Tiger System Preferences should be made directly to the author, German Benítez, wich you can locate at [gman @ gmail dot com]. Those changes can me made trough the INI file, but if you want them to be the default ones, that should belong to the original developer.

The Flyakite bundle is just a collection of apps and a lot of hacks to your system files made by Chris Kite. This is not a bundle of AquaSoft forums, and this thread shouldnt be in Comment And Suggestion for the forums.

At last, for modifying your current theme go to windowsresourcestiger [filename] .msstyles and open it with a resource hacking tool, such as reshacker or resedit from TGT Soft. You can modify the graphics using any graphics app like Photoshop.

Me.

Topic closed.

I know you're new but...we have a pretty powerful Search engine on this board. Ignorance isn't an excuse ;)

First search then look through subforums to see where to put your posts. Then post.
