firefox problems

Here's the problem:

I open firefox and customize toolbars and such and when I close it and restart the toolbars are unaltered like I never customized them.

i'd be able to help if it were problem-53...

um...a couple of things to check: is your 'documents and settings' folder on a different drive than 'program files'? shouldn't make a difference, but, ya never know. are you sure you have full read/write access to the 'documents and settings' folder, including subfolders? that's where your preferences get written. and, of course, i'm sure this is easily fixable by deleting the 'c:documents and settingsusersnameapplication datamozilla' folder and starting over with a clean firefox. (make sure you back up 'bookmarks.html' before you delete that folder!).
