i often hear that the adobe apps run really really slow on the intelmacs..
is it really THAT bad? just curious cuz i thought about buying a imac at the end of this year..

I think you mean a MacBook.
Adobe apps for intel are scheduled for release in early 2007. New versions may be more demanding in terms of memory, CPU power etc, but I'm sure the MacBook will do fine.
hm.. but isn't this pretty much a ripoff? i mean you have to pay much money for overpriced new products cuz adode gives a sh*t on the ppl who just bought cs2 products..
Yeah, I would feel much better if Macromedia-branded Studio 8 run natively on a MacBook, than wait for Adobe's experiment with Studio 9, in order to get a Mac(Book) (Pro).
Okay think of it like this would you rather pay 20 bucks for a ****ty piece of UB software or wait a little for a full featured amazinlgy awesome world standard super sexy pwner pwn pwn pwnity pwn pwn buttsex photoshop?

Still, a version for intel Macs would be much faster than that.
It's hard for a professional to run some of the most commonly used and important apps through emulation.
I think that's why 2007 will be a great year for Mac sales. We'll see the next generation of intel Macs (avoiding potential problems the first generation may have, speed bump etc), Leopard (with Boot Camp, too) and native software from Adobe, Microsoft and other companies.

Photoshop is slow on my Intel Mac. Specially comparing to a 2ghz PC. Yes you can use it, I mean it's not going to stop you from using photoshop, but it's like running it with 10 other apps opened.
