Miranda Help

Hiya guys, I'm having a bit o' trouble with Miranda Messenger. Right now, I'm using philou's Admium X skin with iChat bubbles.

Problems:

1. I have to use Ctrl+Enter to send messages because enter just jumps to the next line, it is supposed to be the other way around.

4. When someone IMs me, the window doesn't pop up or anything . . .

If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Would anyone know of a Visual Style that matches this skin?

Don't know, but I think you'll nedd tabsrmm (and ieview) for this:

Preferences > Message Sessions > Message Window >"General" Tab > Sending Messages > "Send Message on Enter"

Can't name any skins though. But only because I suck at remembering their names, so there are some. ^^; Guess that didn't help you, heh.

Well, I have the plugins, but under "Sending Messages" the option is "Send messgae on SHIFT-Enter" . . .

New Problem, when someone sends me a message, noting notifyes me . . . no window pops up or anything . . .

Under message sessions, event notifications choose to announce messages with ballon tooltips. That way, when someone sends you a message, there'll be a little announcement. Not much but it's the best I've come up with so far.

I'm using Scriver and IEView (definitely recommend Scriver over Tabsrmm) and under options -> message sessions -> messaging, there's an option for "send on enter"

Also in the same section, there's a setting for "pop up window" when online that'll do what you're wanting.....

But If I install Scriver, would that mess up my styling? Or can it work in harmony with tabsrmm?

you can also try a event notification plugin

*edit* scriver is an alternative to tabsrmm- it is either one or the other- scriver has less options and is easier to configure. ieview works with scriver the same as it does with tabsrmm.

Hi. I have a problem with Miranda, too, but I didn't want to create a new thread.

Everytime I try to start Miranda IM (the newest version (unicode), it tries to get an away message for me (aim) and then the program has to terminate. Is there any way I could fix this?

what does this mean exactly- try using another away system plugin- eg NAS

I don't use AIM so maybe it a protocol problem- try looking on the AIM threads on the Miranda forums.

Also is "(the newest version (unicode)" the dev build avalible at http://www.miranda-im.org/development/

I did a clean install and it works now.

Does anyone know how to make it play a sound when a person on your contact list logs off? When I look for the option, there is only one for logon.
