Is it because I don't have ObjectBar?

Having objectbar is not enough, U have to have a theme that resembles the tiger look also, and that supports the apple menu style.
As to the messenger skin: u can't remove it, but u could use reshack to modify the skin resources. If that looks too difficult, just replace the default luna skin with a new skin of ur choosing, there are quite a few skins out there. "Search" is ur friend.

Are you saying, you have the task bar (but with the apple logo) but teh Finder, File, Edit, Help etc buttons aren't there?
If thats what you mean, yes, it IS because you dont have ObjectBar. I suggest you either buy ObjectBar, or use a free alternative. (Such as McBar, or search teh forums or OSX-e.com)

Yes, that's what I meant. I tried McBar. It wasn't that great. Is there any other alternative? If not then I guess I'll have to purchase ObjectBar.
I bought ObjectBar. But the Finder bar still isn't showing up. Someone help? 
Did you install any mac theme for it correctly? Also, maybe you didn't install crni's "OB Font", which you can easily find at DevART
I installed the whole Flyakite pack. And I do have the OB Font. =]
Flyakite is not enough, you need to instal an OBPACK file with the theme. There is a load of themes everywhere here, osx-e, deviantart, google, etc.
