Nintendo Wii to be hacked with Mac OS X?

Okay, first off: I have no idea where this thread could be put best, but considering the content I believed here.

I just read a few details about the Nintendo Wii, and one of them got my attention:

"CPU: PowerPC CPU (code-named "Broadway"). Made with a 90 nm SOI CMOS process, jointly developed with and manufactured by IBM."

A PowerPC CPU. Isn't that what pre-intel Apples used?

The system will also have graphics by ATI, and a few USB 2.0 ports.

Maybe one of those two porst could be used to connect an external HD? The possibilities are endless.

Gamecube used a PowerPC based CPU; Xbox360 uses a PowerPC with three cores; PS3's Cell is based on the PPC; and now the Wii, which is basically a GameCube+, uses the PPC.

Sorry, but hacking takes more than an OS that runs on the PPC platform. Otherwise Macheads everywhere would be running OS X on their 360s.

I'm pretty sure the arch isn't exactly like PPC, which doesn't make it possible. Others have thought of this when the GC came out, it's not the same.

Unless the OS is in some kind of ROM then you can almost definatly run linux on it

and then maybe you can run os x in pearpc? I know its not quite the same thing but

its still fun...
