Every ones seen those banners "click here and win a free mac mini".

Today I set to find the truth, read the fine print, and find out for my self.

Objective - Getting a free mac mini using sites that state they will give you a free one.

Resources - 200 dollars. I can afford to loose at least this much lol... And it's half the price of a real mac mini, or close...

This will be a nice little guid for every one, and if I do get a mac mini, then Every one here will know how, and what it takes.

So far ive had 16 friends out of the 13 required register and join AOL or whatever they please...

they have unvalidated 6 of them, as if they are some kinda bull****...

they are submiting faxes of their IDs and Address, I hated to ask them for this, but it's required...

another form of fraude protection... i duno...

i think it's bull****...

but they have done it... i made it easy for them, i got the info for my self and help them make the complication easy, as i faxed it off for my self...

But now we wait...

The experiment begins now...

1. Signup

2. Complete 1 online offer from our large list of advertisers

3. Refer 10 friends who each complete 1 offer

Now getting the link out for the friends. This should be fun, but if they all just go with american online and cancel service after a week, it doesn't cost them anything other than a junk email address just in case...

The problem is, most of those things lead to dead end links.......thereby not fullfilling your requirements to open a credit card, sign up for a magazine...etc etc......

Wuzzie - actually yeah; I've seen it being done - remember that "free ipods" thing? - one of my friends got a mini pod that way; just the company who's giving out the free stuff doesnt give the slightlest **** about who and how signs up as long as some number of "unique" visitors go the their sponsors' sites throught them; as long as they get the money from the sponsors for the people who signed up through them, it doesnt matter to them who was it that signed up...

Its a good old pyramid scheme. The first person to sign up needs ten people, but the second needs each of his ten people to get ten people, which is 110 people. So on and so forth.

I tried one of these once. The site shut down before I got my 122021 signups.

Well I normally find its total bull**** although I am glad to have someone try it out and prove it out loud that it won't work. And if it works well that's cool you'll get a Mac Mini!

You know perhaps you'll get your Mac Mini but then they will ask you to pay for shipping which will be a mere 380$ including insurance, shipping cost, taxes, norwegian taxes, gas money for the ups driver, taco bell for the poor and the shipping box price.

The Mac Mini is free, you just pay for shipping.

my cousin was actually able to get a free ipod doing one of these.

but the free ipod one was pretty easy.. only 5 people referred when they first started all you needed to do was sign up for ebay to complete the offer..
