had this issue when I first installed avedesk...um don't remember how I fixed it but, now I can't even run the it.
My Intro Desklet folder looks like this
...intro.dll
....images --> has six pics
....data ---> five desklets
Seems like your settings aren't saved properly. AveDesk only starts the intro desklet when
<First13Boot>0</First13Boot>
is found in settings.xml.
Check your %APPDATA%/AveDesk/settings.xml file. If the First13Boot has a value of 0, then just contact me on avedesk@gmail.com [preferably thru MSN Messenger] and I'll compile a version for you that has the specific parts of code ripped out.
huh, what do you know...i don't HAVE a settings.xml. why does this stuff always happen to me? sniffle, sniffle...
If you close avedesk and reopen it, you should get one for free ![]()
yay, hugs for me! and kisses for you!
well, that was simple enough that i should have thought of it. so, andreas, what's the difference between closing and reopening versus rebooting? doesn't rebooting close and then reopen the app? eh, nevermind. probably too technical for my tiny head...
Appearantly, rebooting doesn't save settings
must be a bug.
I dont think it's a bug, some machines have speed tweaks when they restart (like when you hold the shift key while you press the "restart" button in the windoze dialog).
