Using Macsearch, ShellWM, and Finderbar together

Hi aqua-folks!

hope this time i post a right thread.

i use shellwm with the tiger theme to get my closebars to the left, works fine.

i use finderbar to replace that darn win-taskbar.

but shellwm screws up findebrar with black blocks! this doesnt happen when i manually restart shellwm.

and shellwm screws up the otherwise so beautiful macsearch window.

any suggestions? i can live without macsearch but NOT without finderbar... i dont wanna use WB, cause i only got 512MB...

addition: i also cant send windows to RK launcher dock anymore... argh...

addition2: problem is solved when i FIRST start finderbar THEN shellwm...

now the question: how to chage autoruns so that finderbar runs first?

Actually the latest WindowBlinds uses very little system resources. It's got an even smaller memory footprint than the built-in windows skinning engine so.. I would advise you to go with WindowBlinds.

last time i installed the free version of WB it sucked and screwed up windows so bad i had to format c and reinstall windows. dont know :/ and it cost money

shellvm works really fine, except i gotta manually start all the stuff in order to start finderbar first... :/

any suggestions?

Therefore, stick the Finderbar startup command in the registry (if you're uncomfortable doing that manually, I suggest using Startup Run, download link at the bottom), and the ShellWM startup command in the /Startup folder here: C:Documents and SettingsBitKidStart MenuProgramsStartup

wouldnt renaming the app-aliases in the autostartfolder do the same trick?

would be easier...

No, I thihnk apps in the autostartfolder load at the same time regardless of name.

Best t to change one in the registry and the other in the autostartfolder.

I dont know if I am in the right post but my explorer crashes a lot (only once today) I am doing some trouble shooting as to what it could be directly I do know when I try to load styler 1.40 (free version) manually it crashes my explorer -also i just installed VLT summer pak (http://forum.computer-arts.info/showthread...ighlight=****ie

and it it also giving me problems but I have to see what applications are causing it to crash constantly -My question is could it be the order or quantity of startup applications causing this

will Startup run help trouble shoot my problem instead of me uninstaling the VLT pack
