Install Hangs

Hi,

I'm a long time user of FlyaKite OSX and absolutely love it. Recently I uninstalled it as I was trying another windows modification program that I didn't like which I uninstalled completely later.

So I went back to install FAK OSX and I checked all install options. It almost gets to the end of the install and then it just hangs at "Installing: iTunes Multi-plugin 2.3.1 c loc[a]lhost".

I am able to minimise and restore the install window. It still shows as 'Running' under Task manager. But the HDD is quiet and I can run other stuff in the background without a problem. In fact I'm typing this with the installer running (or frozen?).

The only change I can think of is that in the last 2 days I downloaded and installed a new version of iTunes. But I can't see how that would affect the install.

Anyone experienced this weird issue or any solutions?

Thanks.

Are you running a dock or not?

Not right now. I did have a dock installed but it was removed prior to attempting the FAK OSX install.

I have exactly the same indications on two different computers running Windows XP Pro. I have no idea what's causes the installer to hang on the iTunes Multi-Plugin. Any suggestions?

Alright, then my suggestion is not to install Mplugin as part of Flyakite. See if it goes through. If it does, download the Mplugin installer from the thread that's here in the iTunes forum.

It seemed to work! Install without iTunes Multi-Plugin selected. After the succesfull installation I seperately installed the Multi-Plugin without any problems. Thanks.
