AIM connection problems in miranda

For some reason i cant connect to miranda, well i can connect to msn but not aim. Im using TOC2 1.4.2.3 and im using port 9898, i even went back to using there recommended port but that didnt work either. could it be because my bro installed miranda on this computer in his account? he didnt place his miranda file in the C drive where mines is located. Is there any other good ports i can connect to? i even used oscar plugin and its the samething. i dont understand what could be wrong.

At this moment I can't connect using gaim so it's something with their servers.

nope i still cant get a connection. what gives i didnt do anything different to my miranda. is anybody else having problems with them connecting to AIM?

EDIT it seems like its working now, hopefully nothing else goes wrong

for future reference, you could try using the AIM Oscar plugin and see if it works any better...

yea thats the 2nd thing i did once i found out TOC2 wasnt working, i guess it was an AIM server issue and not my miranda afterall.
