Os X 10.3 Panther Objectbar Theme

Hi guy's,

I sat down recently and decided to whip up a panther style OB theme based off of my old aqua ob theme (which was a modded version of icemans ob theme (yes, he did give me permission back then), yay iceman!)

So without further adieu,

Thanks guys.

And that same picture is turning up all over the macnn forums too, this guy must not want people linking to his images :D

Could you edit that image out hearshot, or a mod?

oh and can you explain what it's lacking? since we cant see the picture :P

I thought you were talking about that. I'm not sure how I could implement that. Is there an objectbar plugin for user accounts, or the current user's name? I could just add fake images and links that wont do anything. But, unlike the other skins around here, I go for full functionality/similar looking, not a perfect replica with links that do nothing and just look pretty :)

you cant implement it. as binary said there isnt a plugin that will allow it. im currently working on 10.3 objectbar and thats one of the few things i dont have a clue on how to do.

would be nice if someone wrote a plugin for this function.

*UPDATE*

I've updated the skin slightly. I have added seperators, and changed a few outdated links/shortcuts.

Wow, this is great (Y)

I just have a dumb question here. When I applied this OB theme to my WinXP and opened "My Computer" window (so the OB items will dispaly Finder/Edit/View/Favorites/Tools/Help options from "My Computer"), somehow the OB menu becomes blank when I tried to create new folder by selecting "Finder" followed by "New" ("My Computer" will display a sub-menu for (Folder/Shortcut /etc.).

Don't know how to fix my WinXP to get around this issue.

Thanks :own:

Hrm, mine does it too on all the themes I've tried. Perhaps it's an objectbar bug. But if it is a bug in my skin, does anyone know how to fix it?

I know the new menu does use a non standard way of listing the functions, as can be seen with WB skins. I think it's more of a toolbar.

Happens with 'send-to' and 'open with' menu's also. The links are there, but the text and icons arnt showing up :\

Two of the files arnt font's but font property files for editing the fonts. So only the pfm files will install. Just ignore the warning dialog. Otherwise they should have installed properly and be showing up in the OB theme.

Thats what im talking about.

I changed the style on the menubar to #2 so it came up with the correct fonts.

however i still get the bad font in the pop up menus and i have no idea how to replace them.

Look in here plz.

THANK YOU Chris.

k the objectbar is great! but i have a problem like this...in your ss when you click on the file drop down menu for example the fonts are normal size and for some reason mine are huge!! I would post a ss but it'll only let me upload 60k I installed all the fonts that were included in the folder except for the one's that are corrupt..is that why the fonts are so big?!?

Ok, again, the font's arnt corrupt, you just cant drop the font property files into the fonts fonder. Just the .pfm files. I think I know what your problems may be. I think maybe OB is getting confused if you have more than one type of Lucida Grande font installed. So, delete any other lucidagrande ttf, or lucida grande ttf font files then reload OB. All 'should' be well after that. I have had that problem in the past when testing various version's of lucida grande in OB. Also just to make sure, restart your computer after deleting the other fonts.

btw, style 2 isnt the correct font for the menubar. style 2 is using the bold font for the application name bar :)
