Aqua Shadow Effect / PNG Format

Hi, i'm wanting the shadows image that are used here at the forums, the ones that are called shadbot, etc. But i'm wanting them as a transparent PNG so that i can use them on any background!

Any help would be much appreciated

If I'm not mistaken don't transparent PNG's only work in firefox (and maybe Opera, I don't know about that). I think you need gifs for IE.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I hope I am so that I can use them in the redesign of my new site.

png transparency can be supported in internet explorer 6, but it requires a lot of bloated code. check this out - http://koivi.com/ie-png-transparency/

don't be so rude man... you can easily make your own shadow images anyway...

FYI IE [and all ie based browsers] is/are the only browser that DONT support PNGs.

i say *thau shall not circumvent the cuss filter" IE man. if you dont use safari/firefox/opera/etc then you shouldnt be visiting any of these websites

Maxthon is based off IE engine and it supports .png, IE 7 supports this by default, pile of crap anyway, yes.

ie7 = a new shiny crust, a mantle with suspect security, and a core of some horrible, goowy monstrosity

#397142

Actually, I believe IE7's core/shell was rewritten...my question is, will IE7 be included in Windows Updates? I don't know whether to code my sites as if most people will automatically get/start using IE7, or if I should continue IE6 hacks.

In the case of CSS based hacks, you can always isolate them in a separate CSS file and implement a conditional comment that filters out IE 7, i.e.

Sorry, IE7 is not included in windows update, but I will put it in eventually

(kidding! that's not bill gates!)

No, really, you HAVE to go on the (ugly) microsoft website.
