UXTheme.dll help

Well earlier today I exchanged my UXTheme.dll file for the modded version which allows for different skins to be placed into your Windows Themes folder...

Only problem is that it didn't change anything, I still can't see any of my themes in my Appearance bar in my system Properties...

Does anyone know what's going on here?

What do you mean when you say "exchanged?" Did you copy the file over, or did you use a UXTheme Hacker?

If you didn't do the latter, I recommend using flyakite's Universal UXTheme patcher

To the best of my knowledge, to have them selectable in the Appearance panel, each theme must be placed in the WINDOWSResourcesThemes directory and must have a .theme file. The best way though is to actually double-click the .msstyles file to apply the theme.

Whether you're using the hacked uxtheme DLL or not, I'd recommend you actually download Styler, which is now free and very easy to use for applying themes.

Yes that is right I just found out how to use the styler to apply themes after you copy the theme folder to Windows/resources/themes and I used styler after

if not there when you open the styler dialog box then refresh the themes directory within styler and your newly installed VS should be there
