Changing/Keeping buttons

I have applied the new Vista Transformation Pack, but while I really don't like the overall look, the buttons are nice. So I was wondering if someone could tell me the location where the buttons are kept, i.e. the explorer address to the button files. I want to keep the butttons after I change the look of my desktop back to a mac.

Thanks for help!!

http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/search.php?searchid=1182989 (Don't know if that works...you should have just searched for "explorer toolbar" under the System File Modifications forum ;)).

It's in shell32.dll, and the first link tells you the bitmaps. Use ResHacker.

Hope this helps! :)

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I made it sound like the explorer buttons, but what I meant is the buttons in popups and apps (the ones that have stuff on them like Apply, or OK, or Cancel). I was using FlyAKite, but it made the text on the buttons to be too big, i.e. the text poppd out of the buttons. The buttons in Vista are really nice, and I like the small font in them, it gives a cleaner look, but I want to keep those buttons after I reinstall FlyAKite.

I think you can change the font size by going to Display Properties (from the Control Panel)-->Appearance-->Advanced-->Message Box-->Size.

I'm pretty sure there's a way to change the actual text too but I don't remember :(.

Sorry, but I hope this helped!

Thnx, but how about keeping the actual buttons? Is there a png or bitmap somewhere that I change after I install Fly A Kite?

are you using the vista visual style that comes with the pack? If so i'm almost positive all that stuff is built into the visual style. And then the only way to change it would be to edit the .mss with stylebuilder.

it's a .msstyle. I applied it from the themes menu (right click on desktop, properties, appearance).

yeah, the only way to do something like that is to get stylebuilder and replace the buttons in the tiger msstyle with the ones in the vista msstyle. Shouldnt be to difficult, although I dunno how it would match up.
