iPod in red to come?

Hello hello eveyone,

rumor has it that there is a new generation of ipods to come that is suppossed to be red. RED to subside with the Product RED line: http://www.joinred.com/products.asp

Product Red claims to help women and children with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

What do you think about it? All I can think: How ugly - yet the pictures are cheap photomanipulations, so maybe the real thing will look better.

Color is good. I've never understood why the manufacturers are so reluctant to produce products in any and all colors imaginable. When I was on a project at Motorola, the employees used to walk around with phones and pagers that where multi-colored... swirled together. I was told they were a by-product of when they switched from one color to the next in the molding process. They were the coolest looking thing and I could never understand why they didn't produce them for sale. Look at Motorola now... they are making a HUGE deal out of the fact that they have blue and pink Razr's... and when they came out with black is was a big deal. Come one now... how hard could it be? I say iPod's in EVERY color of the spectrum. Just like M&M's, you should be able to order any color you want!

2 words - inventory managent

That is a complete nightmare and especially with a high-volume product like iPod, predicting the sales numbers of different colours and having a fluid supply chain would be almost impossible.

Just remember the iPod mini craze and you will see why they are reluctant to do it again.

There were some speculations about making a 'Madonna SE' pink Nanos some time ago.... Never heared about red ones though....

I wish they started making black Dock stations instead...

i like the color red, my boots red, my bookbags red but it dosnt look good on electronics. people might think your alittle too fruity
