HI,
I tried that. It didn't work. When I try and run the second instance of Rocket Dock that is in a different folder, nothing happens and the other instance of Rocket Dock that is currently running stays open and in place.
Thanks
Are you sure you don't really have two docks overlapping each other? Check the list of running processes...if there are two, quit one, then move the one that's still up to another side of the screen. Then open up the other one.
-NC

I just checked again. There is only one rocket dock process running. When I try to run Rocket Dock after the first instance is running nothing happens, no matter how many times I try to run the the second instance of the rocket dock executable. It just does nothing. I even have the process monitor open and it only ever shows one instance of rocket dock running. I even rebooted clean and try running two copies from completely different folders. Once the first one is running the other refuses to run. I even tried renaming the executable to something else, still won't load once one is running.
Out of curiousity I tried to run RK Launcher multiple times and it works flawlessly. I can have a dozen instances of rk launcher running with no problems, all from the same folder. Of course I would need to run in seperate folders to change icons and dockets, but I was just testing to see if it would work.
Thanks.
Correct me if I'm wrong but RocketDock comes as an installer exe right? That means that you probably wouldn't be able to just copy the folder/change the name and launch another instance... Maybe go to RocketDock's forums and check with them?

Yes it does come with an installer. So what I did was install another copy with the installer into different directory. Same issue again. Won't allow multiple instances of rocket dock.
I tried a search on their forums but found nothing about this. Nor anything in the FAQ or documentation. I guess I will have to register on their forums in order to post and get some sort of answer. I hate registering! To many sites these days want registration. It gets crazy! Anyways its great software so I guess it is the least I can do.
Thanks for the suggestions
