Chicken of the VNC - Sloooooowwwww.....

Anyone use Chicken of the VNC? I use both MS Remote Desktop Connection and Chicken of the VNC to connect from my Mac to my Desktop PC. I like using COTVNC because it supports 32-bit color whereas RDC doesn't. Problem is, COTVNC is SIGNIFICANTLY slower than RDC. Even if I set the color depth really low (256) it's still painful to watch the screen refreshing. Anyone have any similar experiences?

i use cotvnc at work. haven't used it in a coupla months, but i don't remember any issues with slowness. i'll post back when i get to work.

for me, rdc is slower, and there's definitely banding in the colors. cotvnc is faster, and looks better. don't know what to tell you. can you fdisk a mac?
