My Music Folder Icon

I seem to be having a problem with the My Music Folder Icon.

The icon should be the default windows My Music icon, like the Video & Graphics folder icon to the right of the folder.

But instead the folder has a random picture that is stored on my computer, and i can't change the picture as you normally would by right-clicking on the icon and selecting properties, customize, choose picture.

I have tried the "Repair My Music Icon" tool in Tweak UI but that didn't work.

Replies appreciated, thanks in advance.

That's not a random picture, that's it shown in Thumbnails mode with one of the album covers (I think). Have you tried changing the Views option?

Also, what happens if you try repairing your entire icon cache, instead of just the Music icon?

Check if there's a Folder.jpg file in there. It's a (normally) hidden system file, so you have to go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Hide operating system files (Uncheck the box)

Then check the folder and see if theres a folder.jpg in there and delete it.

Make sure you recheck the box once you're done.

Thanks that worked.

When i unchecked the hide operating systems files a file named Thumbs.db appeared on the destop. Is this normal? What is it for?

Yeah, it's normal. I have no idea what it does, but remember to recheck the hide operating system files box, or else you may end up screwing Windows.
