My 3 Itemed Wishlist...

Here are a few things I think would be pretty cool if someone could ever do this(or if someone already has infrom me plaese )

1- Getting rid of the forsaken taskbar

I hate this thing, I want it gone!! But I still need the start menu and system tray. are there any widgets/docklets that can help me out with this?

2- Dashboard feeling.

This is a simple request. Is there a way to set an objectdock shortcut to a button on the keyboard, such as F8 so it shows the widgets? Having this and setting all of your widgets to "show only in heads up mode" will let you click a shortcut on your objectdock and give you the dashboard type environment.

3- (Please excuse my horrible google skills but..) A good movie icon pack. I'm a filmmaker and I use about 7 peices of software(mainly) to accomplish my projects. I would like a nice dock icon pack for these programs.

Well, try searching here....

I use the finderbar toolbar and mac clock, so my task bar looks and works like a mac, but has the system icons and if you press win you still get the start menu.

In reference to dashboard, have you ever seen AveDesk? It does everything you say, however I dont use it for it sometimes freezes my computer. ( uberaaz just came up with something called "My Dashboard" (?) it links RK Launcher to the Yahoo Widget engine or anything else that uses F8 to show the heads up display)

I dont know too much about the icons, but if you check osx-e.com they may have a few of the ones you are looking for. If not, search this forum.

I suppose you're using konfabulator (i will never call it yahoo widget engine) since you mentioned "heads up" mode. so I can't remember how to set a keyboard shortcut. avedesk, however, sets the showcase mode, its equivalent, to f8 by default.

To get rid of the windows taskbar, if you use rklauncher or objectdock just check the "hide windows taskbar" checkbox. you can download the start menu docklet for either of them. don't know about the system tray though.

I agree... its most definately konfabulator!

Konfabulator's shortcut key I believe is F8 and you can trigger it in the same way. "My Dashboard" was made for Konfabulator...

I don't want to pay money for topdesk but is there a way to do that whole "allign the open widnows into a grid" thing?

What I meant was expose for mac mimic. But I found a post saying I could get winplosion free. (Beat the game in on try) when I won and clicked the link it's dead. Does anyone not want there winplosion license?
