In the screenshot above, I'd really love to know what widgets the silver egg and the white flower clock on the right hand side are.

Well, i don't know if anybody made the egg here in the community, but that egg is originally from the Windows Vista BETA2. Those are 'gadgets' (microsoft terms :/) and microsoft created them for the beta. But maybe somebody else made them too...
Thanks, I suspected they were gadgets and not made for 3rd party widget engines. It'd be nice for a konfabulator release or something.
Sorry guys, those were for the new Vista Sidebar that has been ported to XP (however, it is illigal to distribute the actual sidebar.exe, the .dll's it needs are fine. stupid microsoft =), and those are in a .gadgets format, but you could probably turn them to a .zip and look at the contents, and maybe someone could make a konfab. widget out of it or something.

And where can I get these .gadget files? Are they legal for me to obtain without Vista?
They are legal, you could probably find most of them on AeroXP.org (you'll have to sign up though..), but it's really not that useful if you don't have the sidebar. A quick google search might help though.. I don't know.. I've gotten over my vista phase xD
