Modify the shell32.dll bitmap file using ResHacker; there you can change that default yellow Thumbnails folder.

Wow REALLY? COOL! Thats a good hint nightcrawler1089.
Have you found which icon group it's in? I can try looking for it if you'd like...I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere on the boards before.
//Thread Moved
-NC
Yep found which group but having trouble replacin' the icon its kinda replaces all the folders
in the group, any ideas ?
If you cahnge an icon group it will change all the icons in, but in the icon group theres a number for each icon, then go to the icon folder where there are individual and change it here

i myself have been trying to modify the shell32.dll for quite some time but everytime it gives me some kind of error when i replace it...
i have tried replacing the shell32.dll frm these locations -> (icon group or bitmap no 4 for the thumbnail) using RESHACKER
c:windowssystem32 (shell32_original.dll used by another explorer ?)
c:windowssystem32dllcache
there is also and shell32_original.dll in the system32 folder.. i tried moddin it with no results... can someone explain to me how to modify it .. pls...
Normally, when you attempt to replace an important system file like shell32.dll, windows automatically restores it with a clone located in the system32/dll cache folder (must disable "hide protected operating system files" in folder options to see the dll cache folder). To prevent it from doing this, just delete the shell32.dll from dll cache, then replace shell32.dll in the system32 folder with the one you modded. After you do that, a window will pop up asking you to insert your windows xp CD, so just click cancel, It wil then ask if you are sure you want to keep this unrecognized file. Click yes (of course =Þ). Then just restart to see the changes.
Easy as. Oh, the shell32_original.dll is a backup that resource hacker creates every time you edit a file. No offence, but if you would have read the readme that comes with reshack, you would have realized.
Hope this info helps, and happy modding! =D
TIP: Always, always, ALWAYS make a backup of the original shell32.dll (or any system file, for that matter) in a different folder somewhere, incase you screw up or want to revert back to the original file. You'll be very sorry if you end up with a corrupt file and no way to restore it...
Ooh, i tried this some months ago and it's hell. The thumnails will only show properly in 96 pixels and all the images inside of the thumbnail folder can only be that resolution. If you attempt to change your icon size to 96 pixels every freakin' folder becomes a thumbnail folder regardless if it's pictures folder or not, if you make the thumbnail folder 95 pixels then windows won't display it as a thumbnail folder >_
