OSX-style taskbar

So... it's quite obvious that there are no real alternitives to ObjectBar, it's the best we have at the moment when it comes to skinning the windows taskbar to function like a mac's. But, in this world of 'ultra-modding' we want something so real, we could fool Jobs himself. (As if sitting at a dell box wouldn't give it away XD.)

The question: could we super-mod ObjectBar, kinda like what localhost did, in such a way that it would pull the standard: File, Edit, View, etc... as well as the app name, off of the window of an application, and place it in the taskbar? Or would a whole new piece of software be required?

hm, that's what I was afraid of. Just wondering... i've gotten a lot of mixed messages on this topic while browsing different forums. that's cool though, I guess I can live with OB. [sigh]

OB is supposed to be getting a big update from Stardock soon, according to their posts. Maybe it'll get better.

Hey, I have a question.... what makes it so that OB shows the File, Edit... etc of some apps, like... iTunes, but it can't handle other apps, and windows? I'm just trying to understand how it works...

Ur best bet would be to check the dedicated Objectbar section over at Stardock. Only they could explain the inner workings of their program in the best way, IMO. But I think it comes down to the fact that some programs don't use "menus" but rather toolbars made to look like menus. So it seems that objectbar is limited in the way that it cannot recognize them as menus.
