I'm working on a color-mod of Niqu. As my office laptop has win2k (no chance to change it) I want to create something that's equally good looking (OK, almost...) on win2k and my home XP.
I'm new to WB theming and skinstudio, maybe you can help me.
-My 1st problem with mac-like WB skins with glyph close/min/max buttons were that WB on win2k can't handle the tga transparencies, transparent parts are black. Now I have used the respective part of the titlebars as a background of the glyph images. The bevels are a bit too bright around the buttons, but it is easily fixable later, so far so good.
-My 2nd, still existing problem is if close/min/max buttons are on the left side, the close button does not work, rather the Restore/Move/Size/Minimize/Maximize/Close menu is popped up.
Now I have shifted each buttons with 20 pixels to the right, and the close button do work, so my theory is that in win2k, clicking the leftmost 20x20 pixel area (where in the windows classic style you see the application icon) will bring up this Restore/Move.... menu regardless what WB theme you have loaded.
Can anyone confirm if this is the case (I have to put close/min/max buttons on the right side in a mac skin? Phooah) or I missed a setting in SkinStudio, and I can get rid of that menu, and put back my buttons to their original place?
-My 3rd problem is rather SkinStudio than win2k specific. Niqu is a borderless theme that needs let's say WindowsFX to create shadows around it. Fine. But being borderless, I miss the possibility of resizing windows grabbing the sides. Could anyone point me to the right direction either with a short description how to enable resizing, or a link to a tutorial?
-My 4th problem is with how Outlook looks with this skin.
The circled are is plain ugly, and with other skins, the upper part around the "Large Messages" text has a different colour than the From/To/Subject headings.

-5th question: Some applications (for example Calculator, or the windowblinds configuration app.) do not have buttons on them with this Niqu theme. (I'm just recoloring bmp and tga files, so my theme acts as the original.)
How and where is this set in Skinstudio? I didn't find anything (it's not the tool window) and I'd like to add at least a close button to these as well.
