Resetting password on iBook G4 without install DVD

Im atempting to fix a G4 for my friend who is almost computer iliterate. but im not having much luck as im not very good with macs. He has forgoten his password and also lost the install dvd (idiot!!!!) can any one help?

hvae you tried contacting apple for a new install dvd? usually manufacturers will send it to you but sometimes at a fee...dunno about apple tho
