I've tried this client and it has potential, but it's missing some key features. It also doesn't support IRC like Trillian, unless they FINALLY added that "coming soon" feature. Also, there are not many good skins for it.

here's another alternative, but I dunno it's skinable. The default GUI looks kinda like Red Hat or something.

I don't think its skinable. It has smiley themes, but I haven't found any options to skin it. I prefer gaim to trillian in alot of ways, mainly that it takes up less memory, runs on linux, andhas afew nice features like budy pounce.

GAIM is skinnable.. it will use whatever GTK theme you have installed, check the front page news for the jaguar GTK theme.

I've tried them all, including Trillian Pro. The best IMO is definitely Miranda IM.

Except they don't have a pixmap\buf gtk engine for windows because no one seems to be interested in porting\compiling it. There is however GTK-WIMP which takes your system theme.

I however use miranda im.
