what happened to 128x avatars?

To anyone,

Why is it when I went to change my avatar I couldn't upload a 128x128 image? it now says 100x100. Why is that? I see people with 128x ones, so whats the deal?

Current avatars are at 128*128, and all new ones will be at 100*100. So if I were to try and change my avatar, it could only be 100*100.
