I am web devloper and I am working on a custom blog application with Ajax, I am almost finished with the development and got some help with the design, and it utilizes transparent png in a cross platfrom way, but I want you guys to give some ideas (or maybe a new skin) design wise and feature wise. and I don't mind sharing it as soon as I finish the final touches in the code.

I don't know what you mean static ... but it is all dynamic ... the most usefull thing is that you do not have to reload the content when you click something... only th data you need is transfered... not an entire HTML page
for exapmle try adding a comment and see what happens

Hmm, there's gotta be a way to roll up comments, and the "animation" itself isn't too smooth. To some extent, I'm in agreement with Ave.

That's what I mean. Your contents is highly static (e.g. doesn't change every minute), so the old-school HTTP thing would do.

I understand ... I can make it change periodically,for example I can let the user see the latest comments as they are written without having to reload the page or do anything with a nice animation, and I know for sure old school html wont execute it neetly as Ajax would. I understand that it is over hyped but that dosen't make it a useless tool.

I find sites like that a bit annoying since the url doesn't change for the content... makes linking friends to certain pages awkward >_<
