Okay, I went through and installed Windows into \System (The double install method, install in \Windows & \System, then edit boot.ini) and I edited the registry so that \Documents and Settings became \Users and \Program Files became \Applications; ever since the first boot, the text under icons on the desktop don't have their transparency or shadow; they look similar to windows9x icontext... any help?
I also have Icemans sysfiles installed but the text has been the same since firstboot.
You need to enable CLEARTYPE.
I've done that, and it is still the same.
Pressy Winkey + Pause/break, move to Advanced, special effects, and enable desktop/icon shadows.
Sorry I cant tell you the exact name, im not in Windows, but I know its in the visual settings menu. Whatever its called.
I think its Icon Dropshadows.
