Can I copy one of YOUR direct x 9 update?

Hey, now don't get mew wrong, I'm not counterfeit. When I reformatted I had to reinstall windows. I need the Direct X 9 install (feburary 2006) because my pc was not validated yet, and this windows cd has exceeded validation opportunities. Now i remember that when you install Direct X 9 you get an install icon wherever you chose to save it. I need that install icon , because when you double click on it, it asks where to install it.

You don't have to validate to download dx9 from microsoft's site.

Whoa... I just checked and it looks like you DO infact need a genuine copy to install DX9

anyhow to OP if you have any PC game that uses DX9, its usualy right on the game install CD. I doubt anyones gonna host a 24mb file for you.

Last I checked the update was April 2006, and microsoft was offering it without validation....

Google for Direct x 9.0c (the newest).

M$ isn't the only site on the planet that passes it out to download.

Exceeded validation oportunities?? Bleh. You shouldn't be called a pirate because you reinstalled Windows.
