Hey sure, Another great Linux box. That would make 4 I believe.

Here contra, if you want all the junk old pc's out there, you can go to the dump. If you think those boxes are actually worth something, you can just go to the dump and pick a bunch of old pc's and you will be rich!! Or you can spend $10 on all of the sh##ty pc's people are dumping as they go and buy their 20th box.

PEOPLE IN MEXICO CANT EVEN AFFORD MEMORY CARDS (so I hear).

Ok, in that case, you can have my pentium 100 that I've had sitting in the dust for years. (dont know what to do with it) But, if it is gold to you then I would rather have it in the hands of someone who believes it is gold rather than sh##. :D

We can afford memory cards, not all, but some do.

The computers still work, and they can be given a good use, but obivously ignorants and victims of marketism dont think that way.

@ contra:

Maybe we should get a G5 and conquer the world, dont you think?

@mihaly: congrats, will you still visit the community?

LOL, sorry Cho, I didnt mean everyone. Its just that Iceman was talking about how many people still have to use Floppies. I was being sarcastic, but I realize that is offensive, and im sorry. Ill edit it out.

coolzes.

The first month or two might be a lil' tough. Don't hesitate to ask if you're having ANY problem.

But I am rarely online... ask anyone

Problems...pfft...no problems here cept that Office X that came with this machine is only 30 day trial (I wish it was full :6 ) and that I don't have dough for PhotoShop.

#35751

I am here to help too. I am not the Mac demi-God that Taha is, but there is a lot I can help with. :)

If you cant afford Photoshop, try THE GIMP. They probobly have a mac version. Yeah, its not as good, but free.

And try OpenOffice.org instead of OfficeX. Its just as good as office, and free as well. I know they have a mac version, it just went final.

#35753

Or you can download X11 and actually run the actual 'The GiMP'. It works. Honestly.

#35754

Well, its better to use a ported version if you can. As its not emulation. Though I must say, linux emulation in BSD is near perfect (one advantage of open source).

Have you tried X11 taha? Any good?

yup.

I have run eMule on it, so I'm pretty sure the Gimp will run fine too.

And its not slow, its regular speed like any othe app - native speed..
