Panther!

well today I finally got the chance to install Mac OS 10.3 preview dubbed build 7A179. When i first installed it i really liked the look, pinstripe is finally gone.. But, ALMOST EVERYTHING G IS BRUSHED! jesus its ugly as f***. The icons now have a background when you click them and the text gets a blue highlight on it..

Finder seems to have a mind of its own, It wants to connect to my iMac every 20 minutes without me asking it to, and quicktime ran on its own? Possessed OS 10.3 :|

Other then that, everything is nice. =)

the Command+tab reminds me alot of windows alt+tab, just very graphical and beautiful. and quartz seems to be a little faster, the OS is snappier.

So yeah, it has its ups and downs, and if i find a reliable host i will serve some screen shots for you guys.

(BTW im running it on an iBook 800 with 128 mb of ram, and yes its faster than JAGUAR )

Aparantly, Apple is Including BSD Ports (DarwinPorts specifically) included w/ Panther and it has a GUI wizard. This is great, now you can have access to thousands of wonderful GNU programs, all with a click of a button.

I dont actually know how to get into it though, I dont have a mac. :-(

Just saw BetaGuy's ss in the Desktops thread.

I think I like the Panther look better than Jaguar now. The smooth buttons look real slick.
