Windows Media Player Won't Connect To The Internet

In the past couple of days i have noticed that Windows Media Player 10 has not been connecting to the internet.

It's not connecting to Windows Media guide, or streaming videos from thatvideosite.com or similar sites.

When i click on the Media Guide tab this message appears: http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?image=clipboard018wn.jpg - (Click on link for screenshot)

So i click on the connect player link, but still nothing.

I searched on google and microsoft.com but all i could find was make sure File - Work Offline is not selected.

Also i disabled my firewall but it still does not connect.

I was going to uninstall the program then re-install it but for some reason Windows Media Player is not displayed under the add/remove programs list??

Any help appreciated in resolving this problem.

I have solved my problem. I believe that it was in relation to Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 .

I installed Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 a few days ago.

I re-installed Internet Explorer 6 and Windows Media player now connects to the internet.

So Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 must have a few bugs.

I'll stick with Firefox :)
