Apple Hardware Updates

Wouldn't it be nice if you bought something within 30 days of a major release and they allow you to return it? Or at least warn you that a product release is imanent? I bought my mini the day before the Nano was released, and then the store I bought it from would not allow me to return it for the same price because their prices had dropped.

You know how they call that? Bad luck.. There is nothing you can do against it.. poor..

But I totally agree with your statement.

Same thing has hapend to me with my Playstation, Gamecube, Gameboy, Xbox, and Tv . . .

There's an unofficial, or maybe even official, 14 (15?) days policy of return if they have a new release of the same type.

Poor Ellada :P. Bought his iMac fifteen days before Intel!

Luckilly, I went through the same thing as Ellada, but in my case, they made an exception. No idea why, maybe because we only had it in our possesion for 14 days.

But, anyway, it's bad luck, but I think they should extend the 14 day limit, to maybe 30 days, but give a discount if the prices drop during the return limit.

So, If I but a 12in iBook, and the they release a 12in MacBook, can I exchange it?

Also, how reliable are Apples refurbished products?

#384488

tauhsi, I doubt that they would let you exchange it. There's a dramatic difference in the products. However, I'm no Apple spokesman, so your best bet would be to call and ask...
