Please can SOMEONE alter the skin for the V3X.
It's AMAZING and is exactly how I want my phone. But after reading the guide, speaking to Rasputin and going on motomodders I've discovered I can't edit the .dat files with my mac.
Please please please someone adapt this for the v3x.

First thanks. Second, I think I have most of the Flashing/Flexing done. I get the 9 menu and the 4 icons on the main screen. I can't scroll through the 4. If I try, the first icon gets selected. I could not copy any of the .gif files. I also could not create a an extra folder in a. Is any of that normal? After I copied the files, I tried using Skiman and that did not seem to do any harm. Is the apple icon supposed to appear in the small screen on the back of the phone? Mine looks like a mini version of the main screen.
As to the Flash, I have never used RSD Lite before. I'm using v2.5. It loads the file, but then the phone restarts and restarts. Eventually it says "Fail". I don't get the battery meter. Any tips on that?

The error from RSD Lite v2.7, is "Failed" and "Unable to retrieve interface handle (0x4107027)

The apple logo only appears on the outer screen when the phone is open and if and only if you replaced your cl.gif file. As for your RSD error what kind of phone are you flashing to? Make sure it is a V3 not a V3i, V3c etc.
DRM works well on my V3 but not on my V3r, when i use RSD lite on the V3r i've got an error message.
Is anyone knows what i have to mod to use them on the V3r, or an appropriate version of RSD lite?

I actually did forget to mention that I did put the DRM icons on my phone, but that is the only other change I made -- seriously this timeAs PDidee said, I don't think that's the issue though since the DRM icons are still active when I am using the moto skin, which allows me to store video. So, it looks like it might be the .dat issue PDidee was mentioning. This isn't a huge deal to me either since I don't really use video that much. Just noticed it the other day when I was trying to show my wife how our phones could take videos

Oh! And one other thing -- I did actually wait out the "Please Wait..." message for a long time and it eventually just went back to the "My Stuff" menu without storing the video. Seems like it times out or something.

Well I tried recompiling the skin to no avail unfortunately because I changed all the icons it creates tons of .dat files no matter how small the template. The only other work around would be to leave the icons stock and change them in the DRM only; however that would mean that someone would have to flash their phone everytime they want to change their skin if they don't want mac icons. 
It's not a change I can do any time soon.
EDIT: It's not a complete fix, but apparently if you close the clip it saves the video an stops the hang on saving.
On a positive not I've succeeded in creating the Lucida Grande font! Now it's really complete look!

Thanks for this great skin, i just installed it on my Motorola v975 and it worked fine, bar two things.
First, the video camera and the Webacess icons on the Menu are still the defult icons. I understand RAZOR's might not have these menu icons, but i've looked through the .gif icons on my computer and have found some that would be perfect to replace the stock icons.

Also, when i tried to install the DRM icons with RSD lite, i got and error saying something about that the package was not commpatable with my phone. Is there a DRM icon pakage for the v975 anywere?

I tried to install on my K1 KRZR. It almost worked. Some of the names of the menus were too long at the top, but that was a minor problem. The big issue was that there was no font installed or the font was white on a white background. Once you changed to that skin you couldn't see any of the words in any of the menu. Good thing I have them memorized so I could get back to changet the skin back.
Hope someone can tweak this to work on the K1 cause it sure looks great. Thanks for your hard work

I've had it on my phone a while and now I downloaded the "new" 1 with the DRM file.
and now whenever I try accessing the Java (Games & Apps) it doesn't allow me to run any application. All my other skins allow me to run applications.
I tried installing the "old" that I had before, but the problem is still there. ???
what can I do?! because I REALLY love this skin, but I use an application called MXit very frequently. So I need the functionality of Games & Apps.

You flash the font to your phone just as you would the DRM.

The directions and title clearly state that this skin is intended for RAZR V3 ONLY. Try deleting the skin with Skiman or P2Kcommander. Go to modmymoto.com or motox.info if your still having trouble.

You have a V3r... you have the WRONG phone, that is what you are doing wrong. This is package is only for a standard V3.

You need to extract the icons using SHXCoDec and replace the ones in a DRM for a V3r with those. It's time consuming to say the least. OR try to have someone else port it for you on one of the moto forums. Joker likes to port DRM's and does it pretty quick too.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue as me. Installed the skin with SkiMan everything seemed fine but now my speaker and microphone have feedback when the volume is over 2 also the keypad sound cracks over 1.
Bluetooth headset and speaker volume is fine.
