iFrames

Hello!

I haven't used IFRAMES before as I haven't tasted how compatible they are with browsers and platforms and everything.

I would like you to visit http://www.fasoulides.gr and let me know if the iframe works well with your browser. Please report any problems you may come across.

Note: the bottom iframe appears only after the animation is complete... doesn't take long, though (it doesn't, does it?)

Note #2: if it looks greek to you, don't worry... It is! Just follow any link.

seems to work fine for me on Firefox 1.5. Question is - do you really need an IFrame ?

what about a normal div, with a javascript hiding it at the beginning and showing it when loading is complete ? that would a) be xhtml strict (IFrames are not) degrade happily for people w/o css or js

iFrames are compatible with almost every newer browser. But I think you don't need an iFrame for that. Just my opinion.

Only if you want the bottom content in a diferent file but that can be done with a server side include.

I left it open for about 1 minute and a half (remember I am on 56k) and I gots nothing with Safari. I closed it, didn't feel like waiting any longer.

I needed the iframe because the flash file must be always on screen (without being reloaded), and the main content is too big to be inserted in divs in one page.

I have tested the site in Safari (Tiger) and I didn't have any problems. Which version do you have?
