3 Monitors?

okay so here's the deal:

I have two monitors and a TV, and all three of them are connected to my PC. problem is, Windows says I can't have more than 2 monitors active at one time. so could you help me find one of the two solutions:

a) a way to bypass this so I can have three monitors open

B) an easy way to swith between Monitor 2 and T.V with the touch of a button.

^_^

I suppose I really can't except if I add another Graphic card heh....

if your card is an ATI or nvidia card you can setup up profiles that can be switched by a keycombination..

for instance, I have CTRL+ALT+S for a single monitor at 1600x1200,

CTRL+ALT+D for dual monitors at 3200x1200 and

CTRL+ALT+T for just the tv at 1024x768 for media center.

This is very easy to setup, just make sure you have the latest drivers from ati or nvidia and go into the control panel and look for profiles, couldn't be easier

XP, nvidia GEforce 5700.

I'll look for the profiles, thanks :)

You should just have to open Display Properties>Settings and make sure "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" is checked for every monitor selected.

Windows XP can manage 10 monitors, but you can have more than that hooked up at once. You would just have to find a way to configure them.
