adding expandable menu to xp start menu

see this folder on the startmenu, factor door forms? how can i make that an expandable menu item? you know, so i hover over it, it expands to the right and shows me my documents that i can select individually. as opposed to just opening the folder. thx.

edit: i should explain something. the method i used to get that folder there is that i browsed to my profile's start menu and created a shortcut to the 'factor door forms' folder by right-clicking in the window and selecting 'new shortcut.' i know that if i move the entire folder there it will work like i want. but, i can't do that. that folder resides on the network and needs to stay there for backup purposes. so, i hope that clarifies what i'm asking for (an expandable shortcut). thx again.

if you are on ntfs, what about a junction or a hard link ? :P

In particular, I suggest linkd (you can find it in here.

dude, that's hysterical! i was joking with my boss that to do this i was just gonna add a mount point on the startmenu pointing to the folder. and what do you and ms say? add a mount point on the startmenu! okay, i'll give it a shot, thx!

edit: btw, do you have just linkd you could pm me? i'd rather not install the whole kit.

if you have 7zip, you can extract single files from the installation package ( .exe, .msi ) - from the command line "7z x rktools.exe" and then "7z x rktools.msi"

it's quite funny that people (coming form linux) always complain about how mountpoints would be nice (on windows) - but then... they are actually there :)

edit: btw, browsing to the start menu folder in your profile can be done with right-click on the start button, and the Open :P

www.nc.seph.ws/linkd.exe

Only 12 KB. The pack is very handy though, I suggest you download it anyway ;).
