Photoshop File Thumbnails

I noticed that my .psd Photoshop files are not being shown as thumbnails on my laptop.

The folder option is selected as: View - Thumbnails

But the photoshop icon is displayed not a preview of the photoshop file?

On my desktop a preview of the Photoshop file is displayed but not on my laptop.

How do i resolve this?
