No. "Bamf" is the sound (is written as) Nightcrawler (X-Men comics and is in X-Men 2: X-Men United movie) makes when he teleports into an alternate dimension (followed by the puff of stuff). The blue fuzzy elf's tail is the thing going through the middle of the wall.

Indeed. The puff of stuff is theorized to be brimstone from an alternate dimension that he travels through instantaneously. The "Bamf" refers to the rush of imploding air that signals Nightcrawler's departure, as well as the air that's pushed aside during an arrival.
