Wildcard to refer to desktop in path

at college when i log in some times my desktop is at

c:documents and settings0007.esherdesktop

and some times it is at

c:documents and settings0007desktop

is there a wildcard or whatever i can use for example like

%desktop%portablefirefoxportablefirefox.exe?
