what happened to my thunderbird ?

i re-installed my thunderbird, because the compact menu and menu edit extensions have problems with each other

however,after i restart thunderbird, it looks like this !

there is big blank under the status bar

i dont know where it comes from

help!

This has happened to me a number of times. I usually make a new profile. But if that doesnt work for you, removing extensions one at a time might solve the problem or try reinstall Thunderbird. Dont forget to backup your profile.

i backup all my messages and contacts

then removed all profile ,re-installed thunderbird

but ...it still exists...

that thing at the bottom should be an xml/xul error message messed up. If you have the DOM Inspector installed, you can probably read what's written there. 99% is an extension. Try to start really from scratch - backup stuff, uninstall, delete the thunderbird AND profile folder, reinstall -slowly-

well...i deleted all profiles, even the files in the folder C:/Programme Files...

and reinstall...
