Safari Firefox Question

Hey all.

I have succesfully skinned and edited firefox to look like safari...but I am having trouble with one thing.

Ya know at the top of the browser where it says the title of the page and has the minimize, maximize, and close buttons? Well how do you 1) turn that pesky firefox logo at the left of the bar into a safari logo and 2) how do you either get rid of or change the " - Mozilla Firefox" at the end of the page title?

Yeah, I did use the search function, and even if I did find that thread, every single link and download is broken, which makes it a bit hard to use.

Are there any other threads?

well, that's true, but you can renounce that links (with a bit engagement). the essential thing is the text, especially step 2.

step 3 could be helpfull, but there is a more simple way:

go to "c:progamm filesmozilla firefoxchrome". now create a "icons" folder there and in that a "default" folder.

now put your favored icons there. the names must be:

downloadManager

main-window

themesManager

extensionsManager

bookmark-window

if you need:

help

jsconsoleWindow

metadata

winInspectorMain

so, that's it. hope you get it

I am still a bit confused...

so what do I save the image as if I want to replace the little icon at the very top left of the window?

"main-window" must be the name of the icon. the rest id for the other windows in ff

Hmmm.....

This still isn't working. I did all that you said but the icon in the right hand corner of the window remains unchanged.

Any idea as to what I am doing wrong?

EDIT: I think the problem is you have to use an ico file (i was using gif) but I can't seem to find an ico logo for safari. Any help on this?

Come to think of it, does Safari even have a logo on the corner?

I could live with that logo, but for some reason it apears choppy as oppossed to smooth like the firefox logo when I use it.....

Is there any way around chopiness?

And do you know where I could find the official safari logo in ico format?

well, you can place an empty .ico file named "main-window", then there will be no logo in that corner.
