Portable app that'll HIDE wallpaper without CHANGING it?

Basically what I'm looking for is a program that I can install on my USB drive that, when I launch it, it'll play the wallpaper that I want without actually CHANGING the system wallpaper. So that when I close the program and remove my drive it'll reset back to normal.

I already have AveDesk setup to hide the icons when I launch it, and I tried just making 1 huge icon as the wallpaper, but then I can't put other icons on TOP of it, even if it I set it to "always on bottom".

I'm pretty much just trying to make myself a whole portable custom desktop. Anyone have any ideas?

Neat idea/concept. Don't know of anything off top off my head.

If there's wscript on the computer you're connecting too then it seems to me...it would be possible by modifing the slideshow desklet or a sysstats config?

I'm just a basic...very basic coder. Going to have a peak at Judge's script again. Let you know later.

You could try Serious Samurize, if you are using avedesk to display the icons then you should have no problem at all using samurize, except for resolutions and image scaling, I never really scaled my images in Samurize, so I couldn't tell you how much quanlty is lost by doing so.

You should be able to accomplish this with SysMetrix. I once made an image the same resolution as my screen and when I clicked a button the image was animated. Like an animated wallpaper. It was pretty cool. Anyway give it a shot.

The important thing here is that the whole thing PORTABLE. By that I mean...I can just throw it on a USB and I won't have install anything on any other computers or anything, it'll just WORK. I'm not particularly sure whether Samurize will or not, I'll check, but SysMetrix says:

SysMetrix Installation This is the full-blown installation that includes everything - SysMetrix, documentation, sample themes, and all required VBRuntime modules and support files.

Doesn't sound like it'd be very portable

According to this, Samurize is definitely NOT portable. So does anyone have any other ideas?
