UK's weather...
Hey, this is Britain; possibly the most boring and dreary country in the world. What did you expect? You say 'Revision', eh? What exams have you got coming up?
Mind you, we do need some serious rain. There's been nowhere near enough water this last winter.
Yes I do agree. What do you think of these new Walkers Cheddar Cheese crips eh? Stan says his hernia op has been put back again, did you see that Alan Sugar? Oooh! My!

Not a huge crisps fan (too much fat etc) may try them at some point and likewise not a huge footy fan, used to be into man u quite a bit, but who didn't? ![]()

And for us Yanks out there wondering what on earth "revise for exams" means:
revise |ri?v?z| verb [ trans. ]
1 reconsider and alter (something) in the light of further evidence : he had cause to revise his opinion a moment after expressing it.
2 [ intrans. ] Brit. reread work done previously to improve one's knowledge of a subject, typically to prepare for an examination : students frantically revising for exams | [ trans. ] revise your lecture notes on the topic.
Roughly the equivalent as saying "Review for exams..."

That's London for you, lol.
I'm revising for uni exams too, which roughly means, reading notes for the first time
Then I play the system by cross-referencing which exam questions came up which year and assigning a probability rating to each type of exam question which may come up this year, therefore only needing to study 60% of the course in detail.
Work hard in school kids and don't let it come to this! ![]()
Yay for exams! I've got GCSEs in 3 and a half weeks, and I've got a metric ton of revision to get through, as well as several projects to finish and tons of coursework that, apparently, isn't good enough. And if I fail them, I'm screwed because I haven't planned anything beyond handing in a Sixth Form Application. God bless poorly planned compulsory exams ![]()
But on the plus side, it's actually quite warm here. Hasn't rained for a few days, and flowers are finally coming out. So at least it looks nice from my window up here.
where to get this weather widget? ![]()
I love living in Britain but the weather is ****ing awful this time of year.
It's for Yahoo widgets, called Widescape Weather. http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=35751
I believe there's also an Avedesk/systats version if you search the forums (I could never get it working myself
)
and all the time i was in lufbra it snowed only once...
i even went up to scotland to get some snow... and yet as we spent 5 days without snow (which meant no skiing) the train journey back showed us platforms under at least a foot of it.
yep, i completely agree about britain's weather
P.S: timbob are you in burleigh?
hmph... the only thing i found is an old request thread for this thingy..
so i'll have to keep using lucids weather =
