You have to switch visual styles...Install UXtheme patch and the OSX msstyles when installing Flyakite. Reboot. Then go to the Display Properties by either right-clicking the desktop or through the Control Panel. Select the 'Appearance' tab and then select the appropriate OSX theme from the 'Buttons and Windows' drop-down list. Hit 'Apply' and presto, you now have a mac-like taskbar.
the best tip: RTFM.
the uxtheme patcher and osxstyles im a little confused on exactly what to do..
ok I installed the uxpatcher b4 i installed flyakite.. great.. the taskbar remains windows classic.. I went into user preferences and clicked tiger style and it didnt prompt me to rebootbut I did so anyway. But when I rebooted the tiger style in user pref is unchecked..

Oops my apologies forgot to read the board rules...
But I still wouldn't mind having some help on the same issue that this topic was about, is that possible?
Thank You ![]()
So Sranshaft's advice didn't work? Once you hit Apply after selecting a theme, your desktop might "turn gray" and you'll see a "Please Wait" dialog...so you should be able to tell if the theme has been successfully applied.
Make sure you have a theme in C:WindowsResourcesThemes
-NC
ok I got that to work now I have another problem when I try to click on which prgs to start up at bootup in the user pref they dissapear after I hit apply..
