well, i see the realtek card listed. highlight the realtek card on the right, then highlight the item you wish to monitor on the left. what is the problem?

#380465

Is the problem because the card is named

Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC - 数据包计划程序微型端口

Ave doesnt use chinesse cause your signature is WAY too big....

Anyhow ave doesnt use Chinese cause he isnt Chinese. A possible solution to your problem, is that I bet the app realy only is a GUI for a txt based INI type file and if you find that file for the docket you can edit the name and paste in the chinese name.

Hello,

I am using windows xp japenese version,

and I experience the same problems too.

At the end of my network card there is some japanese characters (same thing as in chinese)

when I use the meter I don't have any problem :

I use object dock to monitor my incoming/outgoing network traffic,

However when I ask sysstat to save my docklet it crashes exactly where the japanese character should be written.

So I end up with an half saved file and of course at next loading the meters are missing.

My understanding of the problem is that sysstats saves is configuration in plain text and does not support UTF8 or UTF16 chars...

To solve this problem maybe we could ask judge to save the config files as binary files?

Or is there a way to rename a pdh meter in windows? maybe a register hack or something?

Please if anybody has more info!

Ave does do chinese :P SysStats is the one here that's not doing chinese :P

But OD's Sysstats could use Chinese~

What's the different of them ?

So I think this problem could be solved~~

Maybe this is the AVE's problem~

#380901

sysstats for od is a completely different build than sysstats for avedesk. go to dockex.com and check the version number and file size.

#380906

Ok thanks for the heads up judge ^^

So does anybody know if it is possible to change the variable names?

Btw instead of specifying the network card, I tried "every device",

this time it saves correctly because the string saved is (*) instead of japaneses char...

However the meters are not working :-( the values are staying at 0.

Anything I can do about that in the docklet configuration?

or is it just another microsoft problem?

Thx for sysstat anyway, this is a great app!

the network meters is the only thing that doesn't work for me so it's not a very big problem

Oh~

The network meters is what I like and used.

I have made some simple app.I like it very much.

#381202

#381262

So asuro

How did you do to get the network meters working?

So asuro

How did you do to get the network meters working?

I set the config file only read~

When I restart AVE ,I should configure it again~

Only this way~

This way could used in many apps~

#381515

Ok thanks

it's a bit boring solution ^-^

I guess I won't use network activity until it is fixed!
