Illustrator has a whole lot better set of tools for path creating/editing than Photoshop. Of course you could do it with PS but it would be like killing an elephant with a wet towel

@tehloxely: you should spend some time learning Illustrator, it's very powerful, intuitive and easy to use. Give it a go!
